Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Nutritionist to join its team. As a key member of the Patient Family Support Services, this individual will collaborate with the clinical enterprise of the Cancer Center to provide exceptional nutrition services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient nutrition assessments to determine risk and nutrition requirements.
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans, monitoring patient progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and attend patient rounds to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on nutrition-related issues, either individually or in groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or an equivalent field.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • State of NM Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Nutritionist (LN) or ADA Registered Dietician (RD) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nutrition.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Certification/licensure in State of New Mexico.
  • Bi-lingual.
