About the Position

The City of Lakeville, MN is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and upholding the law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public
  • Enforce laws and regulations, and issue citations and warnings as necessary
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes
  • Provide support to other law enforcement agencies and emergency services
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in law enforcement or a related field preferred
  • Valid Minnesota Peace Officer License required; POST license eligible by January 1, 2025
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
