High-Level Transactional Attorney

A high-level attorney with 10+ years of law practice experience is sought by Gravis Law, PLLC. The successful candidate will have an established book, practice, and/or performance.

The Senior Attorney III is self-directed and thrives with lots of support and autonomy. They generally receive a substantial portion (approximately 50%) of their work through Gravis Law's lead generation and marketing and/or other attorneys in the office.

A high-level Senior Attorney III is expected to generate a portion (50%) of their own billable work. They are part of the Mentorship Program, provide expertise and training, along with participation on the board. Attorneys have access to coaching and support services for attorney development and networking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Successful record of mediation experience
  • Significant and successful trial experience
  • Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues
  • Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
  • Marketing your and the firm's services to prospective clients
  • Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
  • Performing due diligence in all matters
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills, including competence in empathetic listening
  • Managing a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults to sufficient reach production/collection objectives

Requirements:
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent legal research skills
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state in which you intend to practice
  • 5+ years of experience as a transactional attorney

The Attorney is expected to bill an average of 1500 hours annually, with collections expected on 1400 hours of invoices worked while working a full-time employment schedule.

This roughly translates to billing 30 hours per week at 50 weeks annually.
