Job Summary:

The Route Sales Representative is responsible for meeting customer needs through up-selling and cross-selling, and providing superior customer service by proactively managing all route responsibilities. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit new customers and ensure a profitable product mix
  • Actively participate in promotions and contests, training and audits
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer service and route management
  • Ensure customer loyalty and retention through outstanding customer service
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Handle and process customer payments and maintain accurate route paperwork
  • Monitor and report competitive activity and maintain service agreements

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and CDL when applicable
  • Excellent driving record and safe driving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school graduation or similar experience
