Job Summary

The Presales Security Specialist will work closely with Architects and Engineers to support account teams, customers, and go-to-market initiatives. This role requires a consultative approach, leading discussions with clients regarding security platforms, understanding how technology enables business, and recognizing opportunities for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the security solution sales process, including qualifying opportunities, forecasting, decision-making criteria, and closing.
  • Learn company service offerings in all security service areas through self-study, acquiring certifications, partner training, and company-sponsored training.
  • Ensure company-recommended enterprise solutions are comprehensive, achieve customer expectations, and meet customer business needs.
  • Develop relationships with the Local Technology Community (MFGs and SI Partners) and appropriate customer technical personnel to establish market credibility.
  • Mentor and guide internal teams on the presales process and security solutions capabilities.
  • Stay current on new technology, trends, and market behavior in the security space.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required.
  • 1+ year in a Technical Sales position.
  • 2+ years of security-focused experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity cloud.
Required Skills
  • Ability to speak to different security technologies, such as firewalls, endpoint, email, and identity, with customers and identify customer security challenges to determine potential security solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Receptive listening skills, with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High-quality writing skills needed to produce reports, track metrics, manage projects, and create technical documentation.
  • High-level reading comprehension used to examine manuals and technical reports.
Certifications Required
  • Candidate should have or will work towards certifications with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Mimecast, Okta, and others as needed for expertise around firewall/network security, endpoint, email, identity, and other security technologies.
Unique Requirements
  • Business travel required up to 20% for customer meetings, internal meetings, or engagements, travel to customer or partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices.
Additional Information
  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $170,000, which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
