We are excited to add a Quality Control Inspector II to our expanding team at Swoon, a dynamic and innovation-driven company.

Location: On-site in Akron, Pennsylvania

Compensation: $19-23/hr.

About the Role

The Quality Control Inspector II ensures that materials, processes, and products meet organizational quality standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ERP system to retrieve part drawings, routings, and instructions.
  • Interpret work orders and customer requirements from documentation.
  • Inspect parts according to specified standards using measurement equipment (e.g., microscope, micrometer, height gauge).
  • Generate and address non-conformance reports (NCMRs).
  • Perform inspections on raw materials, components, and finished assemblies.
  • Create Quality Inspection Plans (QIP) and Initial Incoming Inspection Reports (IIIR).
  • Conduct incoming inspections using QIP or IIIR, set priorities accordingly.
  • Assist with calibration activities and update procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality control and manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in measurement units, blueprint reading, and using inspection tools (e.g., gauges, calipers).
  • Strong attention to detail, written/verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 9001, AS9100, and IPC 620.
