Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and oversee research, field work, and impact analysis for transportation projects
  • Prepare complex CEQA/NEPA documents for roadway, transit, and rail projects
  • Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies
  • Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance
  • Perform business development functions, including proposal preparation and involvement in transportation-related planning/environmental organizations
Requirements:
  • BS/BA Degree in applicable field and 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience required
  • Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD) preferred
  • Experience in a private environmental consulting firm preferred
  • Experience working with and/or for Metro, Caltrans, FTA, FHWA, and/or local or regional transportation/transit agency preferred
  • Demonstrated familiarity with NEPA, CEQA, and related federal and California environmental processes
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent organization, schedule, and budget management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Willingness to travel as projects require
