Summary

We are seeking a skilled Contract - Manufacturing Technician II to join our team in Goleta, CA. This role will involve testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing of mechanical and electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and validate flight hardware, including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment; per flight drawings, procedures, quality standards and training.
  • Assist engineers in flight / prototype hardware manufacture / test infrastructure development, documentation of assembly, test procedures and other specified tasks.
  • Collaborate with facilities and maintenance to ensure that production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood.
Ideal Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent plus advanced training.
  • 2+ years experience in an Aerospace manufacturing or similar position.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, good fabrication skills, and general shop experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office 365.
  • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
  • Ability to work the following shift:
  • Monday to Friday, 6:30 to 3:00pm
Desired Skills
  • Ability to read and work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures.
  • Ability to operate electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools, including crimpers, drills, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools.
  • Ability to work with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, etc.
