U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Professional to join our team. As an Airplane Pilot, you will be responsible for performing flight assignments in various aircraft, including the C27J, C-12, and CASA 212. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of missions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-flight maintenance and operational checks on aircraft to determine airworthiness
- Prepare and file flight plans using flight planning publications and maps
- Evaluate aviation weather reports and briefings to ensure safe flight conditions
- Provide instruction and guidance to junior pilots without supervisory authority
- Schedule day-to-day aircraft and flight crews in support of the unit's flying hour program
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Section to ensure aircraft availability and efficient use of resources
- Manage crew endurance policy to ensure maximum availability of aircrews to support mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- This is a Drug Testing Program
- Must possess and maintain current commercial multi-engine instrument ratings in accordance with appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations
- Must possess and maintain an annual Class II Flight Physical Qualification
- May be required to maintain currency for duties in the C27J, C-12 multi-engine turboprop aircraft
- Must be able to successfully complete CASA 212 initial training and a qualification evaluation
- Must possess and maintain the FAA Flight Instructor Certificate or the military equivalent rating
- TDY may be required up to 25%

- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter
