U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Professional to join our team. As an Airplane Pilot, you will be responsible for performing flight assignments in various aircraft, including the C27J, C-12, and CASA 212. Your duties will include preparing and filing flight plans, evaluating aviation weather reports, and performing pre-flight maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform flight assignments in various aircraft, including the C27J, C-12, and CASA 212.
- Prepare and file flight plans, including evaluating aviation weather reports and obtaining necessary clearances.
- Perform pre-flight maintenance checks to ensure airworthiness.
- Provide instruction and guidance to other pilots, including in-flight training and ground instruction.
- Manage flight crew endurance policy to ensure maximum availability of aircrews to support mission requirements.
- Must possess a current Commercial Pilot Certificate or equivalent military rating.
- Must have a minimum of 1500 total flight hours, including 250 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
- Must have a minimum of 75 hours of night flying experience.
- Must have a minimum of 100 hours of flying time in the last 12 months.
- Must possess a current Class II Flight Physical Qualification.
- May be required to maintain currency for duties in the C27J, C-12 multi-engine turboprop aircraft.
- Must possess and maintain the FAA Flight Instructor Certificate or the military equivalent rating.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make quick decisions in emergency situations. The Aviation Professional must be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate clearly and effectively with other team members.
