Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute project plans and activities following project management best practices to ensure quality and integrity of the information throughout the project life cycle.
  • Interact with stakeholders across the organization, including Sr. Leadership and Executives, to accomplish goals and successfully deliver projects and improve business processes.
  • Guide and facilitate stakeholders in establishing detailed requirements for complex projects.
  • Define and document project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and key technical resources.
  • Manage project schedules, from initial creation to the entire project life cycle.
  • Independently manage assigned projects to ensure outcomes match agreed-upon customer expectations and outcomes.
  • Lead project team status meetings to ensure project milestones are met and dependencies are tracked.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular project status reports to stakeholders, including project health, risks, and issues.
  • Manage project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks and providing solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage project scope changes and ensure they are documented, reviewed, and approved by stakeholders.
  • Manage project change control affecting project constraints, including time, cost, scope, resources, quality, and risk.
  • Ensure IT systems and workflows are well-documented for future reference.
  • Participate in QA and UAT planning and execution.
  • Create and maintain all forms of project documentation and records.
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure goals were met and identify lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Strong experience leading, facilitating, and motivating teams for medium to large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with stakeholders in achieving their goals.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate with people across the organization.
  • Ability to manage projects to successful conclusion.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing vendor relations and partnerships within the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks beyond the routine.
  • High degree of independence, intuition, and initiative.
  • Ability to maintain composure and control when projects do not proceed as planned.
  • Ability to manage the work of a team engaged in providing specific services and projects.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office.
  • Prior healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
  • PMP, Scrum, or similar certifications desired.
  • New COTS implementation experience - Highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems desired.
