Wound Care Specialist

United Wound Healing PS is seeking a skilled and compassionate Skin and Wound Care Provider to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary wound care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality skin and wound care services to patients in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, in an assigned region.
- Provide comprehensive skin and wound care services, including wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess patient health care needs.
- Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in UWH's own wound care EMR.
- Develop treatment plans for skin and wound conditions based on individual patient needs and UWH's Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Collaborate virtually with medical leadership, including board-certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state.
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
- Wound care and/or surgical experience is highly preferred, but not required; extensive training available.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently.
- Must be trustworthy, honest, and have a positive and professional attitude.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines.
- Competitive salary range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 DOE with bonus potential.
- Full-time 0.8FTE or 1.0FTE position.
- Typical hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm, no nights, weekends, or call.
