Assisting Property Manager for Hale Mahana Apartments

Bh Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our team at the Hale Mahana Apartments in Honolulu, HI. As an experienced property management professional, you will play a vital role in assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring that all financial and operational objectives are met.

Job Summary

This position involves working closely with the General Manager to oversee all on-site operations, including traffic, prospecting, leasing, renewals, and revenue management. You will be responsible for producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure accurate data tracking. Additionally, you will maintain resident files and work with the maintenance team to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in managing all on-site operations, including financial and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to maximize revenues and adhere to budgeted cost parameters.
  • Maintain accurate financial information and perform various analyses to ensure correct data tracking.
  • Work with office staff and collection agencies to manage collections and post revenue data accurately.
  • Take resident service requests and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution and adherence to customer service standards.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to establish, implement, and monitor operational standards and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and hosting resident functions, as required.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in property management, preferably in student housing.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong computer technology skills, including social media use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present thoughts and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and supervised team members.
  • Customer-centric focused personality and ability to assert oneself with high self-confidence.

We offer a competitive salary range of $27.00 - $31.00 hourly, depending on experience. This is a full-time position, requiring 30-40 hours per week, with extended hours and/or weekends as scheduled or needed. The physical requirements include remaining stationary for long periods, moving occasionally, communicating regularly, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Ability to travel locally, overnight, in specific regions or states via automobile and airplane may be required.
