Role Overview
As a Clinical Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and state standards. You will collaborate with medical professionals and the care team to provide personalized, compassionate care, adhering to established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Your role will also involve advocating for patients and their families, embodying the organization's vision and values to ensure exceptional patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Assess patient conditions during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Perform medical procedures and monitor patient responses as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation of care.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic responses, taking appropriate actions as necessary.
- Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to requests and proactively addressing needs.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring understanding through clear communication.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for experienced RNs.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. BLS certification is required, and national certification in a specialty area is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
