Job Summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a highly skilled Eligibility and Authorization Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our financial clearance team, you will be responsible for requesting and obtaining authorizations, organizing and updating worklists, and serving as a liaison between patients, CHLA, and third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Request and obtain authorizations from third-party payers
  • Organize and update worklists to ensure timely completion of tasks

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting or hospital performing financial clearance processes
  • Experience verifying insurances highly preferred
  • Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal strongly preferred
  • Experience requesting and obtaining authorizations preferred
Education and Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
