Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Specialties Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to simplify workflow and enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of staff and promote excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience required.
  • BSN required; Master degree preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
