Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Specialties Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Participate in staff education and training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 18 months of nursing experience required.
  • BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina or Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
