About the Role:
We are seeking professionals with a background in public accounting who can effectively collaborate with clients on their financial and tax requirements. Our firm emphasizes a holistic approach, allowing team members to engage in both financial accounting and tax responsibilities, ensuring a well-rounded experience that is rare in the industry.
Our focus is on financial services, including mortgage and banking sectors, catering to clients with revenues ranging from $0 to over $1 billion. We conduct audits, reviews, and compilations alongside associated tax responsibilities, primarily corporate-related, while also preparing individual returns for our clients' employees.
In addition to standard accounting services, we have a robust business consulting practice specializing in mergers and acquisitions, valuations, financing arrangements, and succession planning. Our accountants have the opportunity to participate in these significant transactions as part of the client service team.
While experience with CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement is preferred, it is not mandatory. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of accounting experience is required. The ideal candidate will also have experience in preparing high-net-worth individual returns, as well as corporate and partnership returns. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage tax return preparation, compliance, and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio, including S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and Partnerships.
- Deliver personalized estate, trust, gift, and income tax planning and preparation services to high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Review complex Federal, multi-state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for individuals and entities to achieve optimal tax outcomes.
- Conduct research and provide consultation on tax issues, technical matters, and special projects.
- Manage and resolve Internal Revenue Service audits and assist clients with IRS, State, and local notices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their other professionals to ensure exceptional service and value.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members; participate in performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Proficient in MS Office/Outlook; experience with CCH is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Project management skills.
- Aptitude for applying financial data and verbal information to unique situations to resolve issues.
