Job Description

The Customer Service Representative position at John A Morrison Allstate Insurance Agency will involve providing exceptional customer service to agency customers, processing insurance payments, drafting letters and reports, and performing other clerical duties as directed by the agent or associates.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer change requests and updates in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Secure all necessary documents from customers and maintain accurate records.
  • Document each customer contact in agency management software to ensure seamless communication and follow-up.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all customers, setting the tone for a positive and helpful experience.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell insurance products to existing customers, increasing revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Return all phone messages promptly and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Stay up-to-date on new insurance products and services, ensuring that customers receive the best possible solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, building trust and loyalty.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including inventory of office supplies and forms.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements
  • Must hold an active 220, 440, or 2044 insurance license.
  • If not licensed, a minimum of 2 years of insurance experience is required.
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, and resourceful, with a strong ability to follow procedures and protocols.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude, with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to succeed.
  • Be a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up, with a strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly and correctly.
  • Excellent business writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documents and reports.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • We prefer an individual who has an interest in long-term employment with opportunities to advance as the company grows.
