Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. This is a part-time opportunity with a 0.6 FTE schedule, working 48 hours per 2 weeks on the Night WOW shift from 7pm to 7am.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and communicate patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that addresses their identified needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
  • Implement and evaluate the patient's response to care through assessment and reassessment, updating the plan of care as needed.
  • Ensure timely and efficient admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  • Document assessments, delivery of care, and patient response to care in the medical record.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in an accredited nursing school.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact license.
  • At least one year of experience in acute care.
