Expected Weekly Hours: To be determined. Typical weeks are 5 days, 4- to 6-hour shifts, 20-27 hours per week.
Wage: Minimum wage starting, $+.25/hour after completion of initial training, typically within 30 working days.

About You:
You are a motivated, self-directed team player with a passion for coffee, community, and a positive work atmosphere. You resonate with our values of sustainability and zero-waste, and you are eager to promote these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft exceptional coffee beverages that impress our customers, showcasing your skills in espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.
- Engage authentically with customers, providing friendly and personable service.
- Demonstrate knowledge or willingness to learn about specialty coffee, educating customers on flavor profiles and origins.
- Accurately handle transactions and manage cash while multitasking effectively.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting light objects and occasionally up to 50lbs, while maintaining a standing position for extended periods.
Required Qualifications:
- Food Handler's Card (or to be obtained within 3 days of hire).
- OLCC Server Permit (or to be obtained within 15 days of hire).
- A genuine interest in specialty coffee, with a desire to learn more.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- Ability to create latte art.
Additional Expectations:
Candidates must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 upon starting employment, with reasonable accommodations considered on a case-by-case basis. Employees are expected to maintain high standards of product quality, service, and cleanliness, and to follow managerial guidance.
Benefits:
- Eligible employees working 27+ hours/week receive 60% covered health insurance, pre-tax dental, supplemental insurance, and paid parental leave.
- All non-seasonal, non-temporary employees can participate in a Simple IRA retirement plan.
- Employees working 20 hours/week or more are eligible for long-term disability benefits.
- All employees receive PTO, paid holidays, paid volunteer hours, and complimentary coffee.
Work Environment:
The café atmosphere can be lively and dynamic, with exposure to varying temperatures throughout the year.
Physical Demands:
Employees are required to lift and reach for light objects and may need to remain standing for extended periods.
