We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Plant Operations Manager to join our team at Shamrock Foods Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of ground beef products and ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers in the ground beef production area, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Production Planning: Create production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements to ensure that job assignments are completed on time.
- Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of ground beef products, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Safety and Security: Enforce company policies and safety regulations, warning violators of rule infractions and contacting security when necessary.
- Employee Development: Assign duties, examine work for exactness, and provide feedback to employees to improve their performance.
- Inventory Management: Study records and recommend remedial actions for non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates and analyze production costs and product quality to modify production and inventory control programs.
- Education: High school diploma or GED, or 10 years of experience in meat production/processing environment.
- Experience: Two years of experience with ground beef products, proficiency in data entry, and basic computer knowledge.
- Skills: Ability to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations associated with this position, written in English.
