Sales Associate for Retail Store

Your Role:

As a vital member of our team, the Sales Associate for Retail Store will play a crucial role in upholding Blick's dedication to our clientele, the Arts, and our surrounding communities. This position involves delivering exceptional customer service through a genuine desire to assist customers and sharing insightful product knowledge, which will contribute to achieving sales objectives. Additional duties encompass point-of-sale operations, store maintenance, merchandising, pricing, loss prevention, and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits a positive, enthusiastic, and engaging demeanor in all customer interactions.
  • Consistently provides outstanding customer service by utilizing the Blick Selling Cycle.
  • Warmly greets customers, ensuring that artists of all skill levels feel welcomed in our store.
  • Identifies customer needs through open-ended questions and engaging conversations.
  • Recommends products that meet customer needs and suggests complementary items to enhance their projects.
  • Informs customers about current promotions and new product arrivals.
  • Acts as an ambassador for Custom Services, educating customers about our framing, custom canvas, and printing options.
  • Ensures a seamless checkout experience, making each customer feel valued and informed about our Preferred Program.
  • Goes the extra mile to fulfill customer requests and needs.
  • Utilizes our website to assist customers in ordering products when necessary.
  • Completes training programs, including Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Custom Services Training, and Outreach Opportunities.
  • Assists in merchandise setups, demonstrating knowledge of visual standards and techniques, while maintaining store standards as directed by management.
  • Follows instructions and balances tasks with customer service to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Understands and acts on procedures for reporting low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds while adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Involves prolonged periods of walking, standing, and climbing ladders.

Travel:

  • Minimal local travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service.

Pay Rate:

The pay range provided complies with state/city-specific laws and applies to this location. Pay ranges may vary in other locations.

  • $17.50 per hour + Sales Incentives
