Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Fabricates and assembles metal components according to specifications.
  • Project Analysis: Evaluates project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and necessary methods and materials based on technical drawings and instructions.
  • Measurement and Layout: Accurately lays out, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on materials in accordance with blueprints or templates.
  • Machine Operation: Sets up and operates various fabricating machines, including brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses to manipulate metal components.
  • On-Site Fabrication: Modifies or fabricates parts at construction sites using appropriate tools.
  • Installation Preparation: Positions completed units for installation and secures them as required.
  • Transportation: Delivers prefabricated components to sites for assembly and installation.
  • Metalworking: Drills and punches holes in metal for fastening purposes.
  • Finishing Touches: Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, or smoothens surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts using hand tools or portable power tools.
