Operations Manager

Michaels Stores is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to lead our store team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing inventory, and ensuring a well-merchandised store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing store workload, including scheduling and inventory management.
- Lead and manage adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support and participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
- Achieve individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Manage visual merchandising standards, including feature space and seasonal layouts, to create an engaging and inviting store environment.
- Execute inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Manage and execute merchandise operations, including Omni-channel processes, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Train, observe, and coach team members to achieve results and support talent development.
- Interact with customers in a respectful and positive manner, providing solutions and assistance as needed.
- Assist with Omni-channel processes, including online ordering and in-store pickup.
- Retail management leadership experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work.
- Frame shop with glass cutter and heat press.
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
