Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team at LifeMed Alaska LLC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, financial data analysis, and cash handling.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  2. Accounts Payable Management: Facilitate accounts payable, including invoice processing and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  3. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other general ledger accounts.
  4. Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Special Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.

Experience: 3 years in accounting role.

Skills and Qualifications: Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, including building formulas, workbooks, and pivot table functions. Experience in accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) duties with data input.

Other Qualifications: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy and procedure manuals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and other employees.
