Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Portland. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Assist with the maintenance of our hotel's HVAC, refrigeration, and pool systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance; supervisory experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration; parts inventory and requisition experience a plus
  • Knowledge of hotel engineering software and systems; experience with energy management and other systems a plus
