Fueling Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fueling Specialist to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our yard operations, you will be responsible for fueling all trucks and ensuring their fluid levels are topped off. Additionally, you will assist our mechanics with preventative maintenance and other tasks in the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular checks on all fluid levels on the truck and refrigeration units.
  • Top off all fluids to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Fuel trucks and maintain accurate records of fuel consumption.
  • Clean truck cabs and wash trucks as needed to maintain a clean and organized yard.
  • Shuttle straight trucks to ensure efficient yard operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized fuel island and yard area.

Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent education preferred.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B; Class A strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate small and large straight trucks.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching overhead during the shift.
  • Ability to move and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Tolerate all weather conditions, as work is predominantly done outdoors.
