Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Position

University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our Anesthesiology team at the University of Toledo Medical Center. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care across a range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, ortho, endo, kidney, and cardiac procedures.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced CRNA to provide anesthesia services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia under the medical direction of a qualified Anesthesiologist, adjusting anesthetic levels as needed.
- Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in life-threatening situations as directed by a physician or protocol.
- Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patients prior to, during, and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations.
- Manage pre and post-anesthetic care, including ventilatory support of patients as assigned by an Anesthesiologist.
- May assist in research projects conducted by the Anesthesiologist and may also assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
- Registered Nurse with completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist training program.
- Certification as a nurse anesthetist by the NBCRNA (National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists).
- Certificate of Authority to practice as a CRNA issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Active BLS Certification.
