Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Imaging Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • 1. Provide exceptional patient care and advocate for patients' needs in a timely and efficient manner.
    • 2. Ensure timely scheduling of inpatients and outpatients.
    • 3. Educate patients before, during, and after exams.
    • 4. Maintain positive relationships with patients, departments, physicians, and colleagues.
    • 5. Review patient satisfaction data and participate in improving areas of concern.
    • 6. Utilize resources to resolve patient irritants.
    • 7. Address and resolve customer complaints.
    • 8. Ensure on-time completion of performance pathway.
    • 9. Participate in associate satisfaction surveys.
    • 10. Submit ideas for improving customer satisfaction.
  • Quality
    • 1. Produce high-quality CT scans.
    • 2. Demonstrate proper operation of CT equipment.
    • 3. Ensure safety in all areas, including electrical, environmental, and radiation.
    • 4. Ensure all necessary information is present before CT exams.
    • 5. Complete data entries in the HIS and RIS.
    • 6. Participate in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators.
    • 7. Submit ideas for improving quality in the department.

    • 1. Assess own learning needs and seek training and development opportunities.
    • 2. Set learning goals and maintain a program to complete required training hours.
  • Innovation
    • 1. Submit innovative ideas to leaders.
    • 2. Implement Just-Do-It initiatives in the department.

    • 1. Participate in hospital-wide activities.
    • 2. Participate in departmental recognition and socialization activities.

    • 1. Ensure availability of necessary supplies.

Requirements
  • ARRT eligible with some scanning experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Able to complete most CT procedures.
  • ARRT Registered.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • May be exposed to life-threatening diseases.
  • Ability to adjust hours with minimal notice.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to view small CRT screens.
  • Ability to work odd hours.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls.
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and/or stoop for extended periods.
