Early Childhood Education Director

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Child Care Preschool Teacher to join our team at the Children's Center of Walkersville.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of early childhood educators to deliver high-quality education and care services.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies standards.
• Conduct regular assessments and hold bi-annual conferences with parents or guardians to ensure children's progress and well-being.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to MSDE Accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude in the workplace.
• Prioritize staff/child ratios and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of experience working in a child care center.
• At least 21 years old.
• Completed 90 clock hours in child development/curriculum or equivalent.
• An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• A Maryland Child Care Credential Level 5 or higher.
