Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of hand tools to troubleshoot and safely repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and components.
  • Equipment Management: Effectively prioritizes equipment issues in order of importance, manages downtime, and communicates issues to peers and leadership; escalates issues to experts or external resources as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track assigned actions, updates peers, and communicates with departments to ensure quality products are produced.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately completes all work order and quality paperwork, and enforces Reily Foods Engineering & Purchasing Standards.
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety: Reports environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership, and maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Must be flexible with weekly work schedule to troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands.
Requirements
  • Technical Certification: Technical certification preferred.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 3+ years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience.
  • Technical Skills: Basic technical skills include Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Hand Tools.
  • Problem Solving and Analysis: Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong safety awareness.
  • Positive Attitude: Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions.
