Burgess Norton Mfg Co is seeking a proficient Precision Grinding Technician to enhance our production team. In this role, you will be tasked with configuring and operating precision grinding machinery to achieve flat or shaped surfaces on metal components.
Primary Duties:- Evaluate technical specifications and choose appropriate tooling for grinding tasks.
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Establish product requirements such as dimensions, tolerances, and quantities.
- Gather and organize data on speeds, feed rates, fixtures, and grinding tools.
- Employ measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges.
- Configure automatic feeding mechanisms for the machinery.
- Monitor machine performance and uphold safety protocols.
