Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily work tasks, troubleshooting issues to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct general repairs and maintain machinery by diagnosing service problems according to technical documents and building regulations.
  • Estimate labor and material costs while planning for the installation and servicing of HVAC systems.
  • Assist in inventory management for HVAC tools and supplies.
  • Review work orders, determine solutions, and document progress.
  • Install and maintain heating and air-conditioning systems.
  • Collaborate with various tradespeople during installations and repairs.
  • Ensure job sites comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect HVAC systems for operational efficiency and identify any issues.
  • Plan projects effectively, ensuring adequate resources are available.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders to maintain project alignment.
  • Promote environmentally sustainable practices and recommend energy-efficient solutions.
  • Track maintenance schedules and manage repair requests to ensure system reliability.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation and repair in commercial or industrial settings.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Universal EPA Certification.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in using computers and office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and power equipment safely.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, ductwork, and piping.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

This position involves working in active construction environments with exposure to various hazards, including heavy machinery and chemicals. Physical demands include lifting heavy objects and working in varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment may be required.
