Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Smilow Cancer Hospital, a leading comprehensive cancer center in Connecticut. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working closely with attending physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs, working collaboratively with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education and Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care and recommended resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Information Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, protecting patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with the latest scientific advances and clinical trials.
Qualifications

We require a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program, with a strong clinical background in oncology. Experience as a NP/PA in a similar setting is preferred, but not required. Active certification and licensure are essential, with additional certifications and continuing education credits required as needed.
