Firefighter Paramedic

Join the City of Benicia, CA team as a Paramedic Firefighter and contribute to the safety and well-being of our community.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic Firefighter to join our team. As a Paramedic Firefighter, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, firefighting, and rescue operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Provide advanced life support, emergency medical services, and firefighting, rescue, and suppression activities
• Drive, operate, and maintain all fire department apparatus and equipment
• Conduct, assist, and participate in training programs
• Participate in inspections and related fire prevention activities, public education

• Graduation from a paramedic training program that meets the requirements for licensing in the State of California
• Successful completion of High School or possession of a G.E.D.
• Current Paramedic license in California
• Firefighter I certificate issued by the State of California Fire Marshal Office
• Valid California Driver's License
• Accreditation by the County of Solano within six months of appointment

• Experience as a Paramedic in an active, progressive paramedic program accompanied by experience as a firefighter in an active progressive firefighting organization

The Paramedic Firefighter will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, responding to emergency calls and performing firefighting, rescue, and suppression activities. The position requires the ability to work in any station in the City on short notice and to perform repetitive work to completion.
