Position Overview:
We are in search of an experienced Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor to enhance our vibrant team. This is a permanent role within the manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with overseeing and refining the food safety and quality assurance systems across our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and sustain food safety and quality systems aligned with GFSI standards.
2. Lead the HACCP program within the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
3. Supervise daily operations of the food quality assurance team, offering guidance and support as needed.
4. Conduct regular audits of sanitation practices, food safety protocols, and quality assurance systems, identifying areas for enhancement and executing corrective actions as required.
5. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to all pertinent food safety and quality standards.
6. Work closely with production and operations teams to promptly address food safety and quality concerns.
7. Propel continuous improvement initiatives within the food safety and quality systems, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
8. Provide training and education to staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures and best practices.
9. Manage the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality and food safety.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety and quality assurance role within the manufacturing sector.
- Certified SQF Practitioner preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of GFSI Food Safety and Quality Systems, HACCP, and food manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Commitment to staying informed about advancements in food safety and quality assurance best practices.
