Role Overview:

As a Territory Sales Consultant, you will thrive in a results-driven environment, engaging in an extensive training program to master our Turf and Ornamental sectors. You will connect with a diverse range of clients in the golf, lawn care, and professional turf industries. This position offers a blend of independence, travel opportunities, recognition, and rewards for your achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business prospects through cold calling, networking, referrals, and cross-selling.
  • Foster partnerships and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance growth opportunities and deliver exceptional service solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance and product insights for client inquiries.
  • Communicate company promotions, programs, and pricing within your designated territory.
  • Support the Finance/Credit department as necessary to ensure client account balances adhere to company credit policies.
  • Collaborate with key vendor representatives to stay updated on technical product advancements and market initiatives.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a horticulture-related field with a consistent work history, or a 2-year college degree.
  • 4 years of experience in the Structural Pest Control market and/or a 4-year college degree in biological sciences.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, energetic, and persistent attitude.
  • Experience in relationship-based and consultative selling.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to business casual attire.
  • Comfort in presenting to individuals and small groups.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including internet, email, contact management software, and smartphone operation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record.
