Night Audit Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Night Audit for Hotel, managed by VP Management LLC.
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the hotel during overnight hours, including conducting night audit procedures, processing guest charges, and preparing daily reports.
The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience in hotel front office or accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems, and strong communication and customer service skills.
This is a competitive salary and benefits package role, located in Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct night audit procedures to balance and reconcile daily financial transactions
- Process and post guest charges, payments, and adjustments accurately and efficiently
- Prepare daily reports and distribute to appropriate hotel departments and management
- Maintain accurate records of cash, credit, and debit transactions during shift
- Respond to and resolve guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel standards are met
- Follow all safety and security procedures and report any potential hazards or incidents
- Assist with other front desk duties and projects as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- 12 years of experience in hotel front office or accounting position
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems (PMS)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts and weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and regulations is a plus
