Process Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Process and Materials Department team, including recruitment, training, task assignments, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and implement relevant KPIs to facilitate performance tracking and ongoing enhancement. This encompasses inventory management, delivery performance (both internal and external), cycle times, warranty claims, profit margins, and adherence to schedules.
  • Design, develop, and execute inventory control and job order protocols to effectively meet production demands and satisfy both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through a robust cycle counting process.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials.
  • Evaluate and implement optimal shipping methods, routes, or carriers to align with specified parameters, requirements, and costs.
  • Supervise procurement, planning, inventory management, shipping, and receiving operations.
  • Prioritize and schedule customer orders throughout the manufacturing process.
  • This includes managing inventory, delivery performance, cycle times, warranty claims, profit margins, and schedule adherence.
  • Act as a technical resource for other departments to address and resolve inquiries, issues, and scheduling challenges.
  • Provide education, training, and resources to maintain the necessary level of departmental expertise in business systems and processes, including ERP, inventory management, and load versus capacity management.
  • Guide department personnel to achieve both short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals.
  • Align departmental objectives with the overarching goals and objectives of the organization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Excel and ERP systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years in materials or process management within a manufacturing context.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role with direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Info/Syteline ERP systems.
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Exposure to the Capital Equipment or Packaging industries.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
