Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a CT Scan Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures, utilizing computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • Effectively assess patients' information and status, and follow appropriate procedures accordingly.
  • Follow accepted radiologic procedures and use medical information to determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examination.
  • Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Perform visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment and report any malfunctioning or missing/damaged equipment.
Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Minimum two years of experience in CT.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
