Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient care, working under the guidance of a supervising physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect medical histories as required.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations.
  • Identify, manage, and monitor chronic health conditions.
  • Request and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend treatment plans.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyle choices through patient education and counseling.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and chart management.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards.
  • Support physicians during hospital rounds.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient care flow.
  • Engage with physicians regarding patient symptoms to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment strategies.
Qualifications

ACUTE CARE ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Valid Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of TN
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of TN
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an Acute or Primary Care environment
  • Equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Preferred experience in cardiology.
Compensation
$57.67/hour plus incentives
