The Telehealth Clinical Technician (TCT) is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who serves in a generalist role to support Telehealth clinical programs. This position provides a wide range of clinical and technical services to Veterans, including serving as the site imager for Store Forward Telehealth (SFT) applications and facilitator for real-time Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT) encounters.
Responsibilities- Provides clinical and technical services to Veterans, including Telehealth imaging, patient education, and primary care and specialty care remote visits.
- Serves as the site imager for SFT applications and facilitator for CVT encounters.
- Responsible for patient site facilitation of clinical, business, scheduling, and technical aspects of real-time Telehealth applications.
- Uses video-conferencing technologies, Telehealth technology, and scheduling software to coordinate and connect staff, resources, patients, and providers.
- Responsible for patient, staff education, training, documentation, and assistance with workload capture.
- Conducts quality control procedures on equipment and products and maintains proper records for quality control reports and workload reporting.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the clinical video conferencing, training, and SFT clinics.
- Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
- Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the US, or District of Columbia.
- Eligible candidates must be proficient in English (spoken and written).
- At least 5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Video teleconferencing experience as both technical troubleshooting and as a tele presenter preferred.
