Research Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our respiratory department.

**Job Summary:**

The Respiratory Therapist will coordinate and deliver patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the department's standards and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

**Responsibilities:**

* Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
* Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
* Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
* Assist with placement of artificial airways.
* Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
* Monitor patient for therapeutic response.
* Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
* Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
* Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

**Requirements:**

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
* State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
* RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP).
* Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree.
