Job Summary

Municipal Employees Credit Union of Baltimore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to oversee the efficient operation of our branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring all operational functions are completed properly and maintaining a high level of service to our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct staff in maintaining member loyalty and ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and NCUA regulations.
  • Direct branch staff in attaining results and meeting/exceeding goals relative to expanding existing and potential member relationships, developing new business, and generating loan growth.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Coach staff to optimum performance.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business required; Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of financial experience required; five (5) to seven (7) years of management/supervisory experience required.
  • Related experience in a financial institution, preferably in a credit union.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Lending Certification within 3 years.
  • Obtain and/or maintain Notary Commission.

Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards, or controls, and talk and hear. The employee will occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25-pound objects.
