Speech-Language Pathologist for Autism Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and a diverse array of therapeutic techniques and instruments.
  • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Actively involve families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development.
  • Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child, fine-tuning interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • License to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (i.e., Arizona or Colorado).
  • Preference for SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career.
  • Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams.
  • Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children.
