Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and effective patient care environment. Utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical judgment, the nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating patient-centered care throughout the healthcare continuum.

This position involves supporting patients in their transition to other healthcare systems or their home communities, ensuring a seamless experience.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for comprehensive patient care, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, adhering to established standards and protocols.


Position Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a current Illinois RN license
  • BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with a commitment to enroll in a BSN completion program within four years for nurses with less than 12 months of experience
  • Nurses with over 12 months of direct patient care experience must possess a BSN or obtain an AAH recognized nursing certification within one year of hire
  • Current AHA CPR certification
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as needed
  • Ability to assist in patient evacuation during emergencies
  • Experience in handling potentially infectious materials and patients
  • Physical capability to lift up to 35 pounds independently; for heavier lifts, appropriate equipment and assistance are required
