We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant 1 to join our team at the University of Miami/UHealth Department of Otolaryngology - Audiology. This is an entry-level position that will provide opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist audiologists in audiological testing and evaluation, ensuring proper fitting of hearing devices and technology.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
  • Provide patients with basic instruction and information regarding examination procedures and assist with examinations by preparing supplies and handing instruments and materials to the audiologist as directed.
  • Organize and stock audiology rooms with all necessary supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering phone calls and maintaining administrative records.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Audiology Assistant Certification completion within the first three months of employment.
  • Experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Commitment to the University's core values.
