POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Server's main duty is to deliver swift and courteous service to patrons, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not exhaustive and may include other tasks.)
  • Greet customers promptly with a friendly demeanor.
  • Inform patrons about daily specials and possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu to address inquiries.
  • Take drink orders and serve them efficiently.
  • Verify the accuracy of food orders before serving them to guests.
  • Keep a close watch on tables and respond to guests' needs attentively.
  • Clear away used plates and glasses swiftly, placing them in bus carts.
  • Prepare dining sections and side stations, ensuring tables are clean and properly set.
  • Organize silverware neatly and efficiently at tables, maintaining cleanliness in the area.
  • Ensure all areas are tidy and free from litter.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a minimum of 6 months experience in food service.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential.
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Requires interaction with customers, the public, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork with fellow staff members is necessary.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with constant public interaction. Responsibilities include carrying serving trays weighing up to 15 lbs and potentially lifting bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs. Shift schedules may vary based on operational needs. Candidates must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
