Description:

ACL Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Histology Laboratory Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is essential for advancing our pathology and translational research initiatives. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in histological methodologies, including tissue processing, staining protocols, and digital imaging, to support our innovative drug development processes.

Key Responsibilities:


• Supervise the complete workflow of tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and high-resolution imaging, ensuring exceptional specimen preparation and precise digital documentation.


• Coordinate histology requests from initiation to completion, maintaining effective communication and providing valuable insights.


• Manage logistics for sample handling, both clinical and non-clinical, ensuring adherence to established protocols.


• Implement quality control measures to uphold histological integrity, including equipment maintenance, standardized practices, meticulous sample management, troubleshooting, and data verification.


• Offer expertise and support to research and development scientists on histological techniques while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standards.

Core Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, Pathology, or a related discipline.


• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is mandatory.


• At least 5 years of experience in a histology laboratory environment.


• Strong professionalism, interpersonal abilities, and dedication to client satisfaction.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.


• Detail-oriented with outstanding record-keeping skills.


• Adaptable and quick to learn new techniques and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Proficient in brightfield and fluorescence imaging, as well as digital pathology systems.


• Familiarity with specific histological techniques and equipment.


• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and laboratory information systems (LIS).


• Good visual acuity and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
